    CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

This month's issue is all about sleep and provides information and tips for children of all ages as well as parents and caregivers. Click here to learn more.

Adult sleep is regulated by the circadian rhythm, an internal body clock. Babies have an immature clock which gradually develops over the first year of life. The most powerful influence on the clock is light. Darkness activates drowsiness – helping us fall asleep. Light activates alertness – helping us stay awake.

If you have concerns about your child’s sleep, please see your doctor or health care professional. To learn more about sleep length and signs that your child is not getting enough sleep, click here.

Now available! Check out our 4 new videos about baby’s head shape and torticollis. Go to the Head Shape, Head Tilt and Neck Stiffness section of the Pediatric Rehabilitation website.

Stay tuned! For the December 2023 issue of the Caregiver Connection where we’ll answer commonly asked questions from our live webinars.
