Who we are, what we do

Mindi Forsyth, Emergency Medical Responder, Business Standards and Support

Mindi Forsyth, Emergency Medical Responder, Business Standards and Support: What motivated me to pursue EMS was that every day was different. I enjoy people and love to help others out. Working in a small community where you don’t get to pick your calls, I have had to respond to almost every single family member that lives here. Although some of the situations weren’t ideal, I was able to be there for them at a different angle yet added my support. There are many moments that I have experienced, too many to share, but who we work with ends up being family, literally, my partner was my brother -in-law for about 3 years. He was the one who got me into my EMS career back in 2004. I joined the BSOS team a little over two years ago, and what brings me joy is the support that I am able to give to the crews in North Zone, whether it’s their stations, their communications or their uniforms.
