Prairie Mountain: Community Conversation

20 Nov 2020

Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Prairie Mountain Health Advisory Council (HAC) and AHS invite local and area residents to an important virtual community conversation about Suicide in the Calgary Zone: How We Can Equip Ourselves to Prevent It.

The Council, along with Alberta Health Services (AHS), has identified suicide related to mental health as one of the most significant challenges facing our communities. This Zoom conversation brings AHS experts into your community to share current statistics and available services to your residents. We will also have a short overview of the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) program, an empowering tool for suicide intervention. And we want to hear from you on what you may be experiencing in your community, and how we can meet your future needs.

All are welcome - please be encouraged to share this invitation with members of your community.
