We're building forward, together.
The Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre (RDRHC) Redevelopment Project (Project) is a $1.8-billion investment that will upgrade services throughout the hospital and add significant capacity.
There are two major components of this Project:
construction of a new patient tower, and renovations and upgrades throughout the existing building
construction of an ambulatory building (across 39th Street from the parkade)
Highlights of the Project and its components include:
the addition of 200 new beds in the patient tower.
six new operating rooms.
two cardiac catheterization labs.
an expanded Medical Device Reprocessing Department.
outpatient services, addiction and mental health, renal dialysis and underground parking at the ambulatory building
As the project progresses, programs, services and their equipment will be relocated within the site to accommodate construction and renovations.
The new patient tower and the ambulatory building will be completed before the finalization of the total redevelopment project, which is expected to be completed and fully commissioned by 2031.
We will be engaging you over the lifetime of this project, so please visit often or register to receive updates to your email.
