What is Pediatric Rehabilitation?

Pediatric Rehabilitation helps children and youth live well, build resiliency and take part in activities meaningful to them and their families. Rehabilitation professionals:

  • Work with families to understand their priorities and provide the support their child needs.
  • Help children develop the skills they need to take part in activities, connect, and play.


Pediatric Rehabilitation Universal and Targeted Services

The Universal and Targeted team is part of the range of services offered by AHS Pediatric Rehabilitation. Providers are from the areas of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, social work, and speech and language pathology. The team:

  • Creates and delivers live webinars, video series, and written materials.
  • Provides community presentations to increase awareness of services and reduce barriers.
  • Offers free resources, information, and strategies on many developmental topics.

A referral is not needed to access these materials.
