We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a Family Advisory Council (FAC) and a Child and Youth Advisory Council (CYAC). Over 40 volunteer client and family advisors contribute their time, insights and voices as members of these councils. The groups are engaged regularly to provide input and feedback regarding various aspects of the project to build the Centre, including both the physical design of the building and the programs and services. In late 2018, AHS began recruiting Patient and Family Advisors to share experiences, expertise and perspectives as the Centre is built. The advisors work in partnership with us through two councils: a Child and Youth Advisory Council, and a Family Advisory Council.

The Patient and Family Advisors are volunteers who help us develop programs and services that are responsive to the needs of patients and provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Active recruitment for the advisory councils is currently closed. If you are interested in future advisor opportunities with the Centre you can email: ccamh.calgary@ahs.ca.
