The EMS Foundation is proud to support the work of all EMS professionals by promoting innovation, research, and paramedic wellness, as well as providing community focused programs.
As part of our paramedic wellness initiatives, the Foundation has proudly launched the Alberta Paramedic Memorial Project to create and install a permanent memorial in Alberta to honor EMS fallen members.
The Memorial project has the full support of Honorable Minister of Health, Senior Executives of Alberta Health Services; AHS EMS; and the Alberta College of Paramedics.
The project team is working collaboratively with the Alberta Government to prepare the site on the Alberta Legislature grounds in Edmonton. The concrete pad has been poured to place the memorial on. A sidewalk to the pad will be poured in the coming weeks. The memorial is built and being stored in advance of the unveiling ceremony on Friday June 14th, 2024.
