Thank you for taking part to celebrate Black History Month.
Black History Month is an opportunity to illuminate and educate about the contributions Black people have made, and continue to make, in Canada.
In recognition of Black History Month, the AHS Diversity and Inclusion team invites you to participate in our Black History Month sessions.
We have an interactive session for AHS employees to discuss anti-racism in a safe space, and two presentations from experts in Black history in Canada and the health status of Black people in Canada. We hope you join us for these sessions. See the events below to register.
*Note: Sessions will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. You do not need the Teams application or an account to attend.

Hosted by Karen Brooks and Aderemi Adelugba
This discussion forum provides a safe space for Black employees and their allies to discuss issues related to anti-Black racism. The intention of this interactive session is to help normalize conversations around anti-Black racism. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the uncomfortable issues they are usually afraid to address. We will work together to build a common understanding of the issues and to determine how we can create a more racially inclusive work environment.
