Valuing Mental Health Report 2015

The 2015 Valuing Mental Health Report is a review of mental health services in Alberta and provides 32 recommendations.

One in five Albertans experience an addiction or mental illness, and most adults show signs and symptoms during childhood.

The new Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health aligns with the recommendations from this report. The centre will provide access to three different treatment options to treat children and youth when the signs and symptoms first occur. Services will be provided in a way that is less stigmatized, more integrated into the community, with better patient outcomes and less need for acute inpatient intervention.
