What can I expect from the South Zone Chronic Pain Program?
We’ve looked at the best research and guidelines for chronic pain—and built a few flexible options to help you take back control and reduce pain’s impact on your life.
1. Group Classes
Our group-based sessions follow best-practice guidelines for chronic pain care. Classes are interactive, supportive, and led by a team that includes nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise, recreation therapy, and nutrition professionals.
2. Individual Coaching
Some people need one-on-one support. You can work directly with a team member to explore your goals, adapt tools from the group sessions, or build confidence before joining a class. This can happen before, during, or after the group series
Will I see a doctor or get a prescription?
We do not offer diagnostic imaging, surgeries, injections, or prescribe medications. While these can help some people, they often provide only short-term relief and don’t always improve your ability to do the things you care about.
Our program focuses on practical strategies to help you manage pain and get back to daily activities. If we feel you might benefit from specific medical treatments, we’ll work closely with your family doctor to support and advocate for you.
