New levels now open

We are excited to share that as of Jan. 20, 2026, both new levels of the surface parkade are also officially open for use.

Additionally, the parkade elevators have been returned to service, providing easy access between levels for all parkade users.

This is a much-anticipated milestone in the parkade expansion project, and one that we know will make a positive difference for all users of the parkade. Having the additional levels and stalls available to staff and physicians not only meets demand today but sets us up to meet demand for parking in the future as increased traffic volumes are anticipated as our hospital grows through the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre Redevelopment Project.

We want to thank our patients, visitors, volunteers and care teams for their patience and understanding throughout the parkade expansion project, especially concerning the elevators which were closed longer than anticipated.
