New levels continue taking shape

Between work underway on the RDRHC Redevelopment Project, expansion in the ICU and ongoing activity in the parkade, there is no shortage of construction occurring around the site.

Specific to the parkade, the new levels continue to take shape, with asphalt for the new levels being poured through August and September. Paving on Level 6 is nearly complete, with the paving on Level 7 anticipated to be complete in September.

A new ramp from level 5 to the new upper levels has been completed, with waterproof testing being finalized in anticipation of reopening Level 5 for staff and physicians by early fall. Also slated for reopening in the very near future is the parkade elevators. Both the project contractor and support teams are working with AHS to address remaining work in and around the elevator shafts to support a reopening as soon as possible.
