New Levels Begin Taking Shape

The delivery and installation of precast concrete pieces for the new parkade levels continues to progress, with activity increasing as summer moves into August. Crane equipment remains stationed around the parkade as trucks carrying the precast pieces arrive at site at regular intervals. The crane will move around the parkade to hoist pieces into place throughout the coming months which will result in some temporary traffic disruptions.

This will include a temporary closure of 39th Street beginning in late August. The parkade exit onto 39th Street will also be closed during this time, with pedestrian traffic being redirected around the parkade to the east and west. City of Red Deer transit stops along the closed section road will also be temporarily relocated. As closure dates are confirmed, AHS will be advising the surrounding neighbourhood as well as the broader community.
