Psychological First Aid for Supporting Indigenous Communities (PFAIC)

This interactive workshop builds on the core, disaster focused Psychological First Aid principles, with an emphasis on providing inclusive, emotionally safe, and person-centered support to Indigenous peoples during disasters. Rather than teaching cultural competencies or specific cultural knowledge, this workshop emphasizes practical and respectful approaches that thoughtfully balance Western and Indigenous perspectives.
