How does your community help you during cancer diagnosis?
People belong to many types of communities, including family, friends & neighbours, culture & spiritual connections, and the resources and services nearby. People's communities can play an important role in their daily life and health.
In Alberta, access to healthcare varies across communities.
The Cancer Strategic Clinical Network (CSCN) is conducting a study to understand which factors can affect a person's cancer diagnosis experience in rural/remote communities. Understanding these factors can help improve access to healthcare resources by helping us find better ways to support people in these communities during their cancer diagnosis.
Rural and Remote Communities
The CSCN will be connecting with community members of Boyle, Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe, High Level, Taber, and Pincher Creek.
You are invited to participate in this research study. If you choose to participate in one of these studies, you will be asked to share your thoughts and experiences of health care and within your community in general.
Do you live in or near: Athabasca County, Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe, High Level, Taber, or Pincher Creek?
Has you or a loved one had a cancer diagnosis?
If yes, we want to talk to you. Please have a look at our upcoming Focus Group conversations and register below! If you prefer to participate in 1:1 interview please connect with our team directly.
