Recovery Alberta Values Development

Recovery Alberta continues to build the foundation guiding who we are as an organization.

Our mission explains what we are here to do, our vision describes the future we are working toward, and our values will define how we work together along the way.

Recovery Alberta’s mission and vision:

  • Mission: Delivering integrated, evidence-informed care that supports recovery from addiction and strengthens mental health for all Albertans.

  • Vision: Providing hope and support for every Albertan on their recovery journey.

Building upon Recovery Alberta’s mission and vision, it’s time to complete the foundation of who we are as an organization and establish our values.

No single perspective or story determines a value. They are shaped by collected perspectives about how we want to work together, collaborate, make decisions and engage with one another every day.

Staff and physicians are encouraged to help shape and define our organizational values through culture conversations, surveys and story sharing. As this work begins, think about the culture we want to create together; what does it look like when we are at our best?

Together4Health will be our main project hub for employees to find all relevant project resources, updates, surveys and open conversations.

    • Vision: The future we are working toward

    • Values: How we work together along the way.

    Values:

    • Provide a consistent framework for how we work together, make decisions, and set priorities.

    • Help describe how we want to treat and support one another across roles, teams, and programs.

    • Translate our mission and vision into everyday actions and experiences.

    • Help guide us when situations are challenging or difficult decisions need to be made.

    • Can be reflected in how we lead, collaborate, recognize contributions, onboard employees, and serve others.
