Naming the New Centre
12 months agoIn December, 2021 and January, 2022 we engaged youth, young adults, and the parents, guardians and community members who support them on the name of the new centre.
A survey invited feedback from the entire community, and four focused conversations were held: one each with current day and in-patients receiving mental health and addiction care in Calgary, and two with local youth, and parents, guardians and community members who support youth and young adults.
The information and perspectives gathered through the survey and focus group sessions have been summarized in a What We Heard document - found in the Document Library
We invite you to review What We Heard and share your feedback.

Finding the right resources at the right time
about 4 years agoAt the new Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health we are developing a resource hub to support patients and families throughout their journey.
We want to hear from you how we can meet the needs of our patients and families. What type of information you need, when and how you want to access it.
Share with us your ideas, links or images to what you'd like to see or what you've seen before.
rhonda.pattonalmost 4 years agoA resource hub should include a physical space (with a person to assist) and a virtual space

It would be helpful to have Family Support workers at the centre who would be able to assist and support families with applications to access various services and navigating them towards relevant supports in their community.

Waiting Room Activities
over 3 years agoWe want to hear from you – what would you like to do while waiting for an appointment?
Share with us your ideas, links or images to what you'd like to do while waiting or things you’ve seen at other places that you really liked.
Christinaabout 3 years agoI like seeing videos playing in waiting rooms that share useful information - perhaps mental health/addictions related info and support info
1 comment0Carolyn Endruhn12 months agoWe usually need to keep moving - freedom to roam (stroller) with some kind of buzzer/app notification when our wait is over would be helpful
