Inaugural Council Meeting - Nov 8, 2018

The inaugural meeting of the New Edmonton Hospital Project’s Patient and Family Advisory Council meeting was held on Thursday, November 8, 2018. The first eight members of the council introduced themselves and shared their personal reasons and experiences that inspired them to want to be involved in Edmonton’s first new hospital build in decades. The council heard from the project’s executive sponsors, Dr. David Zygun, AHS Zone Medical Director and Mary Persson, Assistant Deputy Minister for Alberta Health, on their vision for the project. The council was then given an overview of the project to date and the potential impact the Patient and Family Advisory Council can have on the building design and patient delivery.
