Mike began his EMS career in Alberta in 1990 when he became a primary care paramedic and began working in rural Alberta. He completed his education as an advanced care paramedic at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1993. 

He began working for the City of Calgary EMS in 1994 and worked in several roles including operations paramedic, 911 dispatcher, flight paramedic, Public Education Officer, Superintendent and Assistant Deputy Chief. He transitioned into Alberta Health Services in 2009 and became the Provincial Director of the EMS Fleet. 

In 2016 Mike became responsible for provincial EMSprograms including the EMS Fleet, Logistics & Support and Contract Strategy & Performance.

Jason has been with EMS for 10 years, and started his career with AHS by joining EMS as the Edmonton Zone Staffing Supervisor in 2010. In this position Jason was responsible for shift scheduling and payroll activities for the Edmonton area. In 2013 Jason joined the EMS Contract Strategy & Performance team as a Manager, and currently serves as the Director. The EMS Contract Strategy & Performance (CS&P) team is responsible for ensuring ground, air, and dispatch contracted providers are meeting the terms and conditions of their agreements with AHS.  

Prior to joining EMS Jason served as an Infantryman in the Canadian Forces with the 1^st Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. During this time he was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan as part of Operation Archer. Jason honorably discharged from the Canadian Forces in 2008  on request to advance his education, and  currently holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Management from McEwan University.
